In southeastern China, especially in Fujian Province, rapid urbanization has driven continuous growth in road infrastructure projects. Concrete curbs, as essential road components, require high precision, consistent shaping, and efficient construction. Traditional manual formwork often leads to dimensional errors and inconsistent results. As a result, Concrete Slipform Paver technology is increasingly adopted for modern construction projects.
This project is located in Fujian and is part of a municipal road development program. The contractor was responsible for constructing concrete curbs along both sides of the road, with strict requirements on alignment accuracy, surface quality, and continuous paving capability. Due to limited working space, flexibility and stability of the equipment were critical.
To meet the project requirements, we supplied one unit of the SMC-521 Concrete Slipform Paver, equipped with a side-mounted mold system for continuous curb construction.
The SMC-521 features a compact structure, making it ideal for small-scale projects. Its hydraulic drive and automatic control system ensure stable and continuous operation. The high-frequency vibration system improves concrete compaction and surface finish.
During construction, the SMC-521 enabled one-pass curb forming, significantly improving efficiency while ensuring dimensional accuracy and surface quality.
Key specifications include:
The machine maintained stable performance even under complex site conditions.
The contractor noted that the machine performed reliably, producing smooth and consistent curb structures. It significantly improved efficiency and reduced manual labor requirements.
This project demonstrates that the SMC-521 Concrete Slipform Paver is an ideal solution for urban curb construction. With its compact design, flexible operation, and reliable performance, it meets the demands of modern municipal engineering projects.
